Totteridge is a golf club, which means that it
differs in many ways from the traditional country club. The focus of
activity is exclusively golf centered. Therefore, the services and
amenities that Totteridge provides are entirely golf related.
The practice fields at Totteridge are outstanding. The custom designed
facility encourages players of all skill levels to improve every aspect
of their game. Two separate teeing areas at each end of the field face
multiple target greens. There are individual greens for honing one's
putting, chipping, and bunker shots, as well as a short game practice
area. Players can replicate almost any shot that may be required on the
course. In addition, there are two PGA golf professionals on staff at
Totteridge, both of whom are excellent instructors. Video is utilized to
assist players in learning about their swings.
Caddies are an
integral part of the Totteridge experience and an enhancement to the
game. While there are no restrictions to walking the course and bag
carrying caddies are readily available, the use of a forecaddie for
groups of 3 or more players is a Totteridge staple. The recruiting and
training of local youngsters takes place each spring, with area schools
providing a ready supply of eager young people.
The golf
professionals of Totteridge, lead by PGA Head Professional Jason Tutich,
want everyone's time at Totteridge to be pleasant. They are always ready
to assist. Whether you have a game, or want one, play at Totteridge is
generally uninhibited. Tee times are advisable, but are not required.
Both the front and back nines are utilized so as to provide an easy flow
from start to finish when a good pace of play is maintained.
