Overview
When Rees Jones and Tom Tanto built Totteridge Golf Course, they started with just a dream. Though both had worked on golf courses all over the globe, they believed they had the experience to create something special. The dream was to build a masterpiece golf course that would challenge everyone but be accessible to anyone.
Greensburg provided the picturesque location for the course, and a unique community began to form. The rolling hills that surround the course will seemingly transport anyone to the rural English landscape of Totteridge. Soon, this spot became home for all types of residents, some who don’t golf but love the countryside.
The design philosophy of Rees Jones is to create courses that are fair, continually interesting to play, and visually exciting.
At Totteridge, Jones succeeded in fulfilling his design commitment. As his first endeavor in western PA, the 18-hole, links-style layout takes full advantage of the rolling hills and breathtaking vistas. Elevated tee boxes, natural fairway mounding, selective bunkering, and fast greens provide an enjoyable challenge.
Totteridge may be best remembered for its open links style golf in gently rolling hills and vistas.

Experience Required
PGA Member or PGA Level One Associate
High School and/or College Degree
Some Custormer Servive experience, but not required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft word, excel and publisher
Able to work Weekdays, Weekends and Holidays

Essential Responsibilities
Golf Operations Management
- Oversee the Club Prophet system, starting, monitoring, and pace of play
- Marketing of Totteridge thru Email and Social Media
- Manage tournaments, group outings, and leagues that service all customer segments
Retail Management
- Assist retail merchandise concession in step with the mission of the golf operation and facility
- Oversee development of buying plans and all golf related purchasing
- Establish accurate recordkeeping policies and procedures
- Supervise and train all golf shop staff to maximize sales opportunities
Player Development
- Provide an enhanced golf instruction program offering individual and group clinics for all levels.
- Assist player development programs for juniors and women
- Focus on programs for residents, women, and juniors
Golf Administration
- Maintain golf shop policies and procedures and job descriptions and ensure they are adhered to and posted in the proper areas
- Assist in the publications of newsletters, informational, and promotional materials
- Assist with regular communication with supervisor to include facility, programming, staff and customer updates
Business and Financial
- Responsible for the financial and operational performance of the golf shop operations and golf services
- Assist in the development and preparation of budgets
Other Facility/Departmental Responsibilities
- Work closely with all department heads to achieve the goals and objectives of the facility
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Golf Course Superintendent and provide advice on course playability and tournament set up
- Coordinate plans with the Food and Beverage Manager for food and beverage needs for all golf functions
